Shenandoah Charters is a family owned and operated business since 1945. Captain Clay Collins is the third generation charter boat captain since his father Todd Collins and grandfather George Collins operated before him.
With over fifty years of commercial and sport fishing, there are many stories to tell. Early in George's fishing career, he fished to provide his restaurant with fresh seafood. He fished commercially for crab, salmon and offered sport fishing charters.
His son Todd was raised in Trinidad, attending the local schools and fishing with his dad. After graduating HSU, he bought a boat of his own and ran alongside his dad, running charters and commercial fishing.
At 18 years old Clay fished his first crab season, with the crew consisting of all three Collins men. In 1999 Clay received his captains license and started running the Shenandoah.
